Ms. Florence Benta Were is the Ag. Managing Director of Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest). Prior to joining KenInvest, she served the then Ministry of Planning, National Development, and Vision 2030 in April 2008 as an Economist/Statistician II, she steadily progressed to the position of Principal Economist within the State Department for Economic Planning. Throughout her tenure, she has garnered extensive expertise in Policy Formulation and Analysis, Strategic Planning and Management, Budget Preparation, and Monitoring and Evaluation within the public sector.
She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Kenyatta University.
