Kenya Investment Authority in collaboration with The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) are organizing a virtual Japan- Kenya Business Forum scheduled for 24th June, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00. The Forum is expected to be graced by Hon. Betty Maina, EGH the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development, and Mr. Ejima Kiyoshi, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The Forum is a pre-event of the 2nd Japan-Africa Public-Private Economic Forum that will be held in Kenya in December 2021.

The Business Forum will accelerate and encourage more Japanese companies (particularly members of the Japan Business Council in Africa (JBCA), an organization consisting of Japanese companies interested in setting up operations in Africa, to invest in Kenya. In addition, there will be presentations by select Japanese companies and the Kenyan Private Sector to share their experience and challenges of doing business in both Kenya and Japan, sectoral opportunities and potential for future collaboration.
