The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), with support of the Department of Commerce, Government of India is organizing the India-Africa Smart Agritech Virtual Expo from 8-10 March 2021.

Africa has immense agricultural potential. In order to to feed its growing population, which is still dependent to a large extent on imported food items, sustainable agrarian practices must be inculcated. Harnessing of this untapped potential requires effective technologies including machinery, irrigation facilities, agrochemicals, fertilizers and post-harvest storage.

The local governments have shifted their focus towards expanding domestic productivity through modernizing and mechanizing agriculture. This event is intended to bolster this efforts by bringing the expertise of Indian players to share the best practices. It would also present an opportunity to make connections, learn and procure the state of art best practices and products. Key features of the expo include:
