EU Industry Week 2021

UNIDO ITPO Italy has organized an online conference “The digital future of sustainable industrial manufacturing in Italy and beyond”, which will take place on 10th March 2021 from 12:30 to 2:00 (EAT) in the framework of the EU Industry Week 2021.
The widespread advancement of digital technologies has resulted in the emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is profoundly transforming production and shaping the future of manufacturing. Accordingly, innovation, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships are pivotal to fully tap into the disruptive potential of Industry 4.0 technologies.
This event, the second in a series of three organized by UNIDO at the EU Industry Week 2021, will explore the shift of the Italian manufacturing sector to a digital economy and how it contributes to EU competitiveness in a changing global landscape. It will also provide an overview of how Industry 4.0 can support developing countries towards the achievement of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
Moderated by UNIDO ITPO Italy, this 90-minute webinar will feature the interventions of five representatives playing an important role in this field: Ulla Engelmann (DG GROW, EC); Prof. Marco Taisch (POLIMI); Franco Scolari (Alto Adriatico Technological Pole); Cinzia Guido (Confindustria); and Fabio Golinelli (ABB S.P.A). All the speakers will offer their different and complementary perspective to explore how partnerships across institutions, industries and academia can support and increase the wider adoption of sustainable advanced manufacturing technologies. The discussion, which will be held in English, will also feature a final Q&A session to further discuss the topics debated.
