The Embassies of Kenya, Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda in Rome are organizing the first Eastern African Investment Forum to be held in Rome, Italy from 11th – 12th June 2019. This is a partnership with Confindustria Assafrica Mediterraneo and United Nations Investment and Technology Promotion (UNIDO).

The two-day forum is aimed at promoting business and investment opportunities between Italian investors and Eastern African Countries.  The forum will bring together high-level Government and private sector representatives, financial institutions, multinational institutions, private enterprises and other stakeholders.

The key sectors of focus include agro-food processing; energy; waste management; fashion, pharmaceuticals among others.
