China Africa Industrial Capacity Cooperation Forum
December 13, 2017 - December 16, 2017

In December, 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the plenary meeting of the Johannesburg Summit of the forum.
During the summit, President Xi announced that, in order to facilitate the development of China-Africa Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, China will, in the next three years ahead, implement “ Ten Cooperation Plans”, to support Africa in resolving three bottlenecks in infrastructure, talents inefficiency, and financing shortage and accelerating the process of industrialization and agricultural modernization.
In order to implement the accomplishments of President Xi Jinping’s visit to Africa, further tap the African market, and promote the trade and investment in Africa, it’s authorized by the State Council that China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will hold China-Africa Industrial Capacity Cooperation Exposition in Kenya on December 13-16, 2017. To promote the international industrial capacity cooperation is a significant move to maintain China’s medium-high rate of economic growth and facilitate the development of the industries toward the medium-high end, a crucial part of strengthening international competitive advantage and an important starting point for conducting mutually beneficial cooperation.
Africa is a vital node along “the Belt and Road” and an important direction for “the Belt and Road” construction. “The Belt and Road” initiative is a beneficial complement to the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, bringing unprecedented new momentum and opportunities for China-Africa cooperation. Industrialization is an inevitable path for Africa to achieve independent and sustainable development. Both China and Africa have needs, advantages and embrace opportunities in conducting industrial tie-in and industrial capacity cooperation. The close combination of China’s advantageous industries and high-quality industrial capacity and the realization of industrialization and economic diversification will bring broad prospects for bilateral development.
China-Africa Expo will build a high-quality and efficient platform and communication bridge for China-Africa industrial capacity cooperation and industrial tie-in by taking “Ten Cooperation Plans” as the main line, taking advantage of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and favorable policies under the framework of “the Belt and Road” initiative. China-Africa Expo will also fully display China’s advantageous industries in railroad, highway, infrastructure construction, mechanical equipment, advanced manufacturing and agriculture food processing, thus effectively meeting the needs of African countries.
